Vuba Stone Pool Decks Are Beautiful and Functional

Getting a Vuba Stone Resin-Bound pool deck installed at your home will be one of the best decisions you'll make this year.

No More Scorched Feet

Standard concrete and dark pavers trap blistering summer heat. Vuba Stone's natural stone blend stays remarkably cool underfoot, letting you walk comfortably from the house to the water without needing flip-flops or shoes.

Slip-Resistant

Standing water creates slick spots and dangerous slip hazards around pools. Because this resin-bound system is fully permeable, water drains straight through the surface into the ground, leaving your deck dry and safe to walk on.

Eliminate Ugly

Dated concrete, faded pavers, peeling coatings, or cracked tile all make your pool area look worn and neglected. Vuba Stone transforms any tired surface into a stunning, modern deck that looks like you just built a brand-new resort pool.

Our Certified 5-Step Installation Process

Precision Installation From Base to Finish

Every Vuba Stone deck we install follows this exact sequence to guarantee durability, permeability, and a flawless finish that lasts 15 to 20 years.

01

Existing Surface Prep

We clean and repair the existing concrete or asphalt base, leveling any sunken sections and filling open cracks to ensure a stable foundation. Removing all dirt, weeds, oil, and moisture is highly critical since any wetness prevents proper polyurethane adhesion.

02

Bonding Primer

We apply a specialized bonding primer directly across the clean, dry substrate to create an adhesive bridge between the old surface and the new overlay. This critical primer layer seals the porous base and guarantees a permanent monolithic connection.

03

Material Mixing

We blend the premium marble aggregates and binding quartz with the high-strength polyurethane resin using a professional forced-action mixer. Adjusting the ratio of the chemical catalyst is essential to control the curing speed depending on the outdoor temperature.

04

Trowel Installation

We pour the mixed elements over your primed slab, carefully troweling the stones to a precise thickness based on the intended traffic weight. This hands-on finishing step compacts the aggregates, creating a perfectly flat, highly permeable stone surface.

05

Curing and Upkeep

We shield the fully troweled surface from all pedestrian and vehicular traffic for a strict curing window of twenty-four to seventy-two hours. Once fully cured, this seamless, durable stone overlay requires only a light annual power wash to remain pristine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lowcountry Pool Deck Surfacing FAQ's

Everything you need to know about our swimming pool deck resurfacing, warranties, and what makes us the trusted choice across Bluffton, Hardeeville, Ridgeland, Pooler, Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Savannah. Learn more about our company.

How much does Vuba Stone pool deck resurfacing cost?
Most residential pool decks in the Lowcountry range from $8 to $15 per square foot, depending on the size of your deck, its current condition, and whether extensive repairs are needed. For an average 600 sq ft pool deck, expect $4,800 to $9,000. We provide free on-site assessments with transparent, itemized quotes. No hidden fees.
How long does installation take, and when can we use the pool again?
Most residential pool decks are completed in 1 to 2 days. You can walk on the surface in 24 to 48 hours and resume full pool use (furniture, swimming, etc.) after 48 to 72 hours. Unlike Cool Deck coatings that require 5 to 7 days offline, Vuba Stone's fast cure time means minimal disruption to your summer.
How long will a Vuba Stone pool deck last?
With proper installation and minimal maintenance, Vuba Stone lasts 15 to 20+ years. That's significantly longer than Cool Deck coatings (3 to 5 years) or standard concrete sealers (2 to 4 years). The UV-stable resin won't yellow, crack, or peel from chlorine, salt water, or Lowcountry humidity. We back our work with a service guarantee.
Will the surface get hot in the summer sun?
No. Vuba Stone stays significantly cooler than traditional concrete, pavers, or dark-colored surfaces. The natural stone aggregates reflect heat rather than absorbing it, making the surface comfortable for bare feet even during peak summer afternoons in Bluffton, Savannah, and Hilton Head.
Is it slippery when wet?
Not at all. Vuba Stone's textured surface provides excellent slip resistance even when soaking wet. The natural stone aggregate creates consistent traction, and because it's 100% permeable, water drains through immediately instead of pooling. This eliminates the slippery puddles common with sealed concrete.
What maintenance does Vuba Stone require?
Very little. Simply sweep or rinse debris occasionally with a garden hose. Unlike Cool Deck that requires annual recoating or concrete that needs sealing every 1 to 2 years, Vuba Stone only needs professional resealing every 5 to 10 years to refresh its appearance. It won't stain from pool chemicals, sunscreen, or leaf tannins.
Can Vuba Stone go over my existing concrete pool deck?
Yes, in most cases. Vuba Stone is designed as an overlay system that bonds directly to structurally sound concrete. We assess your existing deck during the free consultation. If the base is stable, we repair any cracks and apply Vuba Stone right over it. This saves the cost and mess of demolition while giving you a completely transformed pool deck.
